Install Vuze 5.0 in Ubuntu 13.04

This simple and brief tutorial is going to show you how to install Vuze 5.0.0.0 in Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail.
Vuze (formerly Azureus) is a BitTorrent protocol client that offers multiple torrent downloads, queuing/priority systems (on torrents and files), start/stop seeding options, and instant access to numerous pieces of information about your torrents.

Vuze is available in Ubuntu Software Center by default, but it’s old. The latest version has reached 5.0.0.x, and here’s list of the changes:

• FEATURE: UI – Buttons on toolbar now only shows on views that need the buttons [TuxPaper]
• FEATURE: UI – Support dragging files out of Files View as a File object, allowing dragging to Explorer, Editor, Player, etc [TuxPaper]

To install Vuze 5.0 in Ubuntu 13.04:
Hit “Ctrl+Alt+T” to open terminal, copy and paste following commands and run one by one:
Download & Install the DEB to add GETDEB repository:

wget http://archive.getdeb.net/install_deb/getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb

sudo dpkg -i getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb

Update app repository:

sudo apt-get update

Install Vuze via apt-get:

sudo apt-get install vuze

Once installed, you can find Vuze in the Unity Dash. Enjoy!
